SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER 2007

~ Christmas Greetings ~

Janet and I wish each of you a very special Christmas Season of Joy and Peace. We have been in the US since mid September of 2007 traveling and seeing friends and family. We have been staying primarily in Fyffe, Alabama with some good friends, Arthur and Barbara Leis for most of our stay in the US.

We have not set up our home as previously thought because of some details that we had not counted on, but we plan on setting up a home in the next 2 years when we return to the US. Gary has put in for his retirement but will continue to minister in Kenya and as the Lord leads in other countries.

We have seen all of our children, grandchildren and some of family members as we have been traveling in the US. It has been a time of rest and relaxation more than we have expected, but well needed also.

We enjoyed our time in the mountains of Tennessee, where we had some unusually warm weather to walk the trails outside of the town of Gatlinburg. After 20 years or so of going to vacation at this particular retreat, we finally completed a long uphill trail of four miles that led to a waterfall. The country has been experiencing some draught in places, so the waterfall was not as beautiful as it might have been. It was still a bit challenging, because the last 2 ˝ miles were up a steep grade through many types of different growth and rocks. We even walked across a one rail bridge to go over the stream that we were to cross several times while on this particular trail.

We will be leaving Fyffe on the 26th of December to travel to Florida to spend some more time with family there and also to minister in the Florida area. We will stay there for a week or so and then return to Fyffe where we will leave to fly out of Atlanta, Georgia on our return trip to Kenya on the 19th of January.

Please continue to pray for us and the pathways that lay before us in Kenya and other nations that we believe the Lord is leading us down.

We will continue to minister to the nationals in Kenya, Africa, as well as the Asian community whom the Lord has laid on our hearts. Janet will continue to teach in a ladies bible study as well as teach crafts. We have purchased several kinds of craft ideas and she will be sharing these in the next two years.

We will also be ministering to the pastors and leaders of Kenya as they respond to the invitations and opportunities given by the Lord.

We have an opportunity to go to the country of Ethiopia for the first time in December of 2008, to minister to the pastors, leaders and local churches. We believe that it will be a marvelous opportunity for the Lord to work in that nation through Janet and I.

We have also been invited to return to India to minister to the Church and its leaders. This time, however, we will be traveling to the northern part of India where we have made another contact when we were on our previous trip.

We thank each of you for your prayers for us and all that you have made possible in the work of the ministry both here in the US and abroad. We will put out another newsletter when we get settled in Kenya after the end of January.

May the Lord continually bless each of you and your families with good health, peace & Joy and may the Lord prosper you in this New Year.

All Our Love,

Gary & Janet
