JUNE 2001

June was another month filled with teaching at various churches. On the 3rd of June we went to a church in Piwani, which is about 20 Kilometers from Nakuru on dirt roads. There were seven churches there that day and Gary taught on “Basis Faith”. At the end of the service, 35 to 40 people came down to the altar to be ministered to, but there was not enough room to minister to them individually because of lack of space. We had to reach out and touch as many as we could, praying the Holy Spirit minister to all who came to receive of the Lord Jesus.

On the 10th, we went to Testimony Church with Pastor James Asuma. It was his Ordination Service and also a celebration of the church’s 1 year anniversary. The pastor and his wife were anointed with oil and separated for the work of the Ministry. On the 17th, we were ministering again in the same church on the Covenant of God. We presented about 20 Bibles to the pastor of the church. He had mentioned to us that many of his congregation members did not have even 1 bible, so we sowed the Word of God to them both Spiritually and physically.

On the 20th of June, we presented to Leif and Susanne Madsen of New Life House Ministries a check on behalf of Jim Neff of Operation Provision in the U.S. New Life House is a ministry to the street children here in Nakuru.

On the 24th, we had 2 services at Holy Spirit Revival Centre West, where Gary taught on prayer to mainly a youth audience. Then in the second service he taught on “The Walk of a Christian.” There was an altar call in the middle of the service in which 20 people just started coming to the altar. There was much ministry with Pastor Mwangi and Gary at the altar with some giving their lives to the Lord.

On the 27th, we were at Kieni Secondary School where Gary ministered on Prayer. In the schools here they have what they call “Christian Union”, where the students are allowed to come together and pray and worship the Lord and even have teachings. The headmaster (or principal, as we would call him) very much encourages the students to participate.

On the 1st, 8th, and the 15th of June, Gary taught at Njoro Bible College on Pastorology. He centered on practical items needed for ministry. Some of the things that he taught they said they had never heard before. We see a great need for this kind of teaching for the Pastors and Ministers here in Kenya. On the 8th and 15th, Gary also ministered at Chapel Services on Prayer & Being Led by the Spirit of God.
