  APRIL 2002

Greetings to all of you in the precious name of Jesus,

The ministry this month began slowly with Gary continuing to teach at Njoro Bible College on the Covenant.

On the 14th of April Gary ministered at Pastor Mwangi's church, Holy Spirit Revival Centre, on “The Last Days”. Many came to the altar and were ministered to.

From the 23rd-27th we had a pastoral conference and Gary ministered 3 days. The first two days he was led to teach these rural pastors and leaders on the New Covenant. The host pastor, Pastor Ford, said “understanding the New Covenant was the foundation that was needed for our walk with God”.

Gary passed out books, devotions and some tracks during these meetings. On the last day he taught on pastoral duties, responsibilities and challenges. He also taught on leadership. The pastors and leaders were very eager and responsive to hear and to learn new information regarding ministry.

In response to these 3 days we had three pastors, including the host pastor, schedule multiple meetings.  In July we will be going for 5 days to Mukurweini, which is about 4-5 hours away. In August we will return for five straight days of ministry to the rural pastors again through Pastor Ford at the Filidelfia Church. To give you some information on Pastor Ford, the street children's ministry that Leif and Susanne Madsen are involved with is located at Pastor Ford’s Church compound. His wife started a ministry to these children several years ago before she died and the Madsen’s saw the need to keep this ministry to these children going. He has a heart for the lost and those who are not so loveable. He also sees a need to teach the rural pastors so that they can reach more people than he can. This is also what is in our heart to do here in Kenya. We feel if we can reach and teach the pastors that they will impact more lives than we can.

April 24th Gary ministered to the youth of Holy Spirit Revival Centre. He was teaching them how important it is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and also that they should be young men and women of integrity.

On the 28th of April Janet and I ministered in a suburb of Nakuru called Kaptembua at Pastor Samuel Machariah’s church called Greater Shakinah Glory. Gary taught on part one of “Prevailing Faith” and there was a good altar response and much enthusiasm from the congregation.
